CS IN IES

Welcome to the department of Computer Science in IES.

Our Mission

To develop in our students the deep technical, problem solving, and leadership skills needed to create new computing technologies and to harness software to empower people, organizations, and society.

Our Vision

Build a strong research and teaching environment that responds swiftly to the challenges of the 21st century.

About CS DEPARTMENT

The Department has responsibility within the School for all academic aspects of computing, for teaching, basic research and collaboration with other departments. Its research attempts both to solve problems by the use of computers and to address problems in the design and programming of computing systems themselves. In both areas it couples rigorous theory with industrial application, with each acting as a strong stimulus to the other, and this is reflected in the teaching.

Message to our Students…….

The programmers of tomorrow are the wizards of the future. You’re going to look like you have magic powers compared to everybody else. You don’t need to dream of becoming the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs. After all, Windows is still buggy, and even iPhones are not what they once were. But you can develop the next generation of gadgets or software programs which will improve the lives of millions of people.
